KSN Literacy Network was created to answer a growing need for age appropriate resources for media modules in a local elementary school in Innisfil, Ontario. We now publish throughout Ontario and our objective is to be country-wide by 2014.
As parents, grandparents and educators, we intend to help all of our students acquire the literacy they need to live fulfilling lives by providing innovative educational resources that are free for their use. Poverty is still all too powerful a predictor of literacy performance in our schools and we must equalize the opportunities for all the school children to reach their highest potentials.
Our goal is to foster a love of reading and learning in the form of monthly newspapers, apps, games, and videos all based on School Curriculums and designed to help improve children's math, environmental, social and literacy skills. These will include building children's core capabilities and problem solving skills.
